William Pang

Bill, lovingly known to many as Pang or Papa Pang (aka Kwok-Ping Pang), born September 21st, 1954, in Hong Kong to Yuet and Chow Pang, was the middle child of 3. Along with his parents and 2 siblings; Rose and David, Bill migrated to the United States as a small child where he grew up and graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School.

Raised in Sacramento, Ca Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army where he received a National Defense Metal, Presidential Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation as well as becoming an expert with his riffle. He carried the courage, honor, and selflessness of his military service throughout every chapter of his life. Bill went on to work at AT&T’s warehouse where he retired after 40 years of hard work and dedication.

To those that knew him, he was a man of great bravery, integrity, and devotion to the people he loved. His strength, loyalty, and dedication were reflected not only in his service to his country but also in the way he cared for his family. He was a protector, provider, and a steadfast presence who could always be counted on in times of need. Bill was a devoted partner, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend whose greatest joy was his family.

He is survived by his older sister Rose and nephew Jonathan, his lifelong partner Linda Amaro; children Anesia, Michael and Andre; several grandchildren; as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by his love, guidance and support.

Bill embraced the role of fatherhood with complete devotion and unconditional love. He always put his family first, becoming “Papa” was a gift he embraced wholeheartedly, and his love became one of the biggest blessings in the lives of many.

He instilled the importance of family, financial responsibility, kindness, compassion, and finding joy in life’s simple moments. His wisdom and example shaped the lives of those around him, and his legacy will continue throughout the many lives he touched.

Passing July 14th, 2026, we remember the life of Papa Pang, a hero, a protector, a teacher, and an example of unconditional love. While his absence leaves an immeasurable void, his life brought everlasting joy, strength, and love to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
