Thomas Earl Franzoia passed away on June 3, 2026, in Placerville, California.

Born in Sacramento, California, Tom lived a life defined by energy, determination, and a strong appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed Tough Mudders and Spartan races, hiking, fishing, and gold panning, always seeking out his next adventure.

Tom also had a deep love for rugby, where he spent years coaching and refereeing, sharing his knowledge of the game and mentoring players with the same passion and intensity he brought to everything he did.

Construction was one of his greatest passions. He took pride in building a home where his family could grow and make lasting memories. He later fulfilled a lifelong dream by building a home in Wyoming, reflecting his love for the American West and the lifestyle it represented.

More than anything, Tom was a devoted father, loving son, cherished brother, and proud grandfather. His family was the center of his life, and he found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved.

Tom was welcomed into Heaven by his parents, Denise Desmond Franzoia and Alfred Franzoia; and his brother, Mark “Yogi” Franzoia. Living on to honor Tom’s memory are his children, Gabriel (Rebecca), Samuel, Matthew, and Olivia (Tyler) Creason; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Savannah Franzoia (children of Gabriel and Rebecca); his siblings, Alfred, Michael, Linda Feil, and Suzie Rozewski; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A true force of nature, Tom approached life with enthusiasm and determination. He was known for his many projects, ideas, and travels, and he left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Tom’s love, guidance, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to be felt by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom’s life on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Saint Mary’s Parish Hall, 1333 58th Street, Sacramento, CA 95819. We invite all who knew and loved Tom to join us in sharing stories, memories, and celebrating a life well lived.”
