Shauvin Maurice Horsley Jr. was born on October 2, 1999 in Sacramento, California to Dalicha and Shauvin Horsley Sr. He was the middle son of three boys. Shauvin attended school in the Twin Rivers Unified School District and proudly graduated.
Shauvin was a whole light. His presence was something you felt instantly—outgoing, uplifting, and full of energy that could change the vibe of any room. He stayed fresh, wore his smile well, and was always going to tell you exactly how he felt. He was blunt, real, and never pretended to be anybody but himself. He loved his family hard and valued the moments he got to spend with them. Though his life was taken far too soon, the love, honesty, and spirit he gave this world will live on forever.
Shauvin loved to dance, loved to express himself, and left a mark on everybody lucky enough to know him. He was stylish, warm-hearted, and unforgettable. His name, his energy, and his light will never be forgotten.
Shauvin was preceded in death by his grandparents: Hal Williams Sr, Marshall Horsley and Deborah Gadlin.
He is survived by his mother, Dalicha Horsley-Johnson; his dad, Alonzo Johnson Sr. and father, Shauvin Horsley Sr; two brothers, Javauri Brandon and Seanais Horsley; grandmother, Sandra Queen; three uncles, Hal Williams, Aaron Williams and Austin Gadlin; four aunts, Ulanda Jordan, Shaunae Bell, Shaunell Bell and Shauna Gadlin; three nieces, two nephews, great-grandmother, Edna Williams Sr, and a host of family and friends.
