Ryan Matthew Langen passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Sacramento, California, after a courageous year-long battle with synovial sarcoma.
Ryan was born on March 17, 1987, in Sacramento. He graduated from CK McClatchy High School in 2005 and went on to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History. He later received his MBA from California State University, Northridge.
A gifted athlete, Ryan had a lifelong passion for soccer, basketball, and baseball and was a dedicated youth coach for his kids soccer and basketball teams. He was a devoted fan of the Sacramento Kings, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, AC Milan, Man city and the US National soccer team.
Ryan met Alessandra (Ali) in the summer of 2012, and they were married on April 22, 2017. Together they built a beautiful life and family. Ryan became a proud father to Olivia Eve in December 2017 and Alexander Vincent in August 2019.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Ali; his children, Olivia (8) and Alex (6); his parents, Steven and Colleen Langen; his sister, Alison, and brother-in-law, Eddie; and his nieces Charlotte (8), Penelope (8), and nephew Wyatt (4).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel (2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento).
The Langen family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Oncology and Infusion nurses and staff at Mercy General Hospital, as well as to their family and friends, for the care, compassion, and support shown during this difficult time.
