Michael Brockway

Michael Brockway, beloved partner, brother, uncle, and stepson, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, at the age of 66.

He will be deeply missed by his devoted partner of over 3 decades, Susan Tze; his sister, Melody Ellis; his nephew, Bradley Ellis, Jr.; his great‑nephew, Bradley Ellis III; and his stepmother, Karen Para‑Brockway. Each holds precious memories of Michael’s gentle spirit, quiet humor, and steadfast love.

Michael dedicated more than 30 years to UC Davis as a Computer Programmer, retiring in 2023. While he was proud of his work and the many friendships he made there, the moments he cherished most were the simple, meaningful ones, especially those spent alongside Susan.

In their retirement years, Michael and Susan found joy in their unhurried strolls through Old Sacramento. Together they wandered the riverfront, took in the historic charm, and enjoyed the peace of simply being together. These shared moments reflected the heart of their relationship: steady, loving, and deeply connected.

Michael will be remembered not only for the time he shared with those closest to him, but for the love, laughter, and warmth he brought into their lives. His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill, yet his memory remains vivid in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
