Matthew Fleming

Matt Fleming passed away on Sept. 3rd, 2026, while vacationing with his family in Tahoe. He had just celebrated his 65th birthday on August 30th. He is survived by his wife Chris and their two daughters Maggie Fleming (Greg Wendell) and Allison Fleming (Ray Martino) along with their two grandsons Sal and Cliff Martino. Matt was one of nine and is survived by his siblings Bob Fleming, Mike Fleming (Donita), Sue Warren (Tim), Kevin Fleming (Ginny), Nancy Salz (Robert), Tim Fleming and Molly Grubb (Ed) along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Patricia Fleming Kies and Robert Fleming and his sister Mary Fleming.

Matt graduated from Jesuit High and St. Mary's College where he met his wife, Chris. He started his career with Gallo Winery learning the basic sales skills that he carried into the golf industry, calling on courses throughout Northern California and Nevada. Matt enjoyed music and nature with a trivia question on both at hand for anyone he engaged with during work or pleasure. Matt was an avid sports fan watching ALL sports including high school and college for those family and friends who had a member on the team.

Services will be held on Monday Sept. 21st at St. Ignatius church in Sacramento at noon.
