Lynn Ellen Markus and her twin sister Lee were born on March 26, 1946 in Eureka, CA. Lynn passed away on October 2, 2025 at Mercy San Juan Hospital in Sacramento. She is survived by her husband of almost 56 years. Lynn and Jim would have celebrated their anniversary on December 6th.
Lynn was the proud mother of 2 children. Amy Johnson, who lives in Plumas Lake with her Dad James and son Evan, and Nicholas Markus, who lives in Lincoln, CA with his wife Julie Rodgers Markus and their 3 boys: Peter, Daniel & Zachary. Lynn’s brother Dan Harris & Lorrie Harris live in Roseburg, Oregon.
She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Lee Pittman (1983); father, Bernard Harris (1996) and mother, Ella Jean Harris(2009).
Affectionately known as “Nina”, a nickname her grandson Evan had given her when he was 2. She was so proud and loved all her grandsons so much.
Lynn’s life was full of friends, family and church. She loved to quilt and spend time with friends. She worked for 30 years at a Tool Co. and loved her job. She survived Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2004, and thyroid cancer in 2007.
She volunteered at her church in Windsor for many years, and was loved by so many. Her laugh was contagious and her positive loving spirit was an inspiration to all.
Celebration of Life will be held on December 6, 2025 at 11am at Shepherd of The Sierra church in Loomis. 5400 Barton Rd Loomis, Ca 95650. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate this wonderful woman.
