Joyce Beverly Belke

Sacramento native, Joyce B. Belke has passed away at the age of 98. Joyce was born in 1926 to George & Vera DeGroft. She attended David Lubin, Kit Carson, Sac High and Sacramento City College. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper with Dolan Lumber until she met and married Ken Belke in 1950. They enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 68 years.

Ken & Joyce were founding members of Valley Hi Country Club where she enjoyed an active social life playing golf and competing in the Lady Bug golf tournaments. Joyce was also active in the Mercy Guild where she served in various roles.

Family was important to Joyce and she enjoyed her large extended family, their annual vacations to Lake Tahoe and hosting holidays in her home.

Joyce is survived by her 3 children; son Tim (Janet), daughters Tina Christianson and Carolyn Dentinger (Mark), her 13 grandchildren, 19.5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13th at Sacred Heart Church with reception to follow. The Vigil Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12th at W.F. Gormley & Sons.
