Jeany Jew

Jeany SooHoo Jew, 55, of Sacramento, CA, passed away on February 21, 2024, in Sacramento. Jeany was born on May 26, 1968, in Sacramento, CA, to Kam Yeu Fong and Otto Fong. 

Jeany was a loving and caring person who dedicated five years of her life caring for her husband, Benny, after he suffered a stroke. She was known for her organizational skills, determination, and selflessness. Jeany enjoyed watching football games in Southern California, supporting Benny's Alma mater USC. 

Jeany is survived by her husband, Benny Jew, his parents Jimmy and Yuet Jew, brothers in law Alan, Nelson and sister-in-law Anne. She is also survived by her brothers Pak Woo Kwong, Pak Yeung Kwong, Sheldon SooHoo, and their families.   Jeany was preceded in death by her parents, Kam Yeu Fong and Otto Fong, and siblings Mel Wong and brother-in-law John Wong. 

Jeany pursued a career as an accountant at Yee’s Auto Tech and later worked at the State of California Department of Food & Agriculture as an Associate Information Systems Analyst. 

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Jeany's life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at W.F. Gormley & Sons, located at 2015 Capitol Ave., Sacramento, CA, 95811.  The committal service will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery, located at 2720 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento, CA, 95818. Reception to follow at Far East Cafe., 5014 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA, 95822
