Isaiah Joaquin Fleming

Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you.”

Isaiah Joaquin Fleming was born July 10, 2013, in Miami, Florida and sent to his eternal resting place on May 27, 2025, while sleeping peacefully in his Sacramento, California home. He is the beloved youngest son to Aubrey Aquino and Tariq Fleming.

Isaiah was a shining star in every facet of life. From academics to athletics, and social events, as well as in front of his favorite electronic devices, he approached life with a focused, determined and competitive nature, while having fun with a dimpled smile on his face. Isaiah was a jet setter from the start, first, traveling cross country and then getting his passport stamped to explore the globe, and also compete in his favorite sports. Affectionately also known as “Zeke” to many, he’s left a lasting impression on the many people who’ve been lucky enough to know him. He effortlessly carried himself with a quiet maturity, and wisdom beyond his years, which made him a natural leader in the classroom, on the basketball court and on the baseball field. Whether helping a classmate or cheering on a teammate, Isaiah always led with kindness, confidence, and his huge heart.

He was extremely passionate about sports, especially basketball and baseball, and could often be found working on his skills or watching games with his family. A Klay Thompson superfan, the number “11” was synonymous with his personality. He also admired Patrick Mahomes, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Rob Dillingham. Isaiah aspired to not only emulate their immense talent, but also the way these elite athletes played with pure joy and determination.

Video gaming was among Isaiah’s favorite pastimes, as he spent many happy hours in friendly competition with his big brother and other friends. His laughter, energy, and generous spirit was infectious to all who knew him.

Isaiah is survived by his loving parents, Aubrey and Tariq, along with his older brother, Raef, and many other family members and friends who will keep his memory alive.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 4-7pm at W.F. Gormley & Sons, located at 2015 Capitol Avenue in Sacramento, California. Memorial contributions may be made through the GoFundMe in his name or directly to his parents, while they determine how to best honor his life and memory.

Isaiah’s 11-years on earth, though cut short, was filled with love, purpose, and joy. He will forever remain in our hearts as a shining example of how to live your best life. #Forever11
