Donna Ruth Adam

In Loving Memory of Donna Ruth Adam

With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of our beloved Donna, a devoted wife, cherished mother, adored Nana, treasured friend, and respected coworker. While our hearts are broken, we are deeply grateful for the incredible woman she was and the love she shared so generously throughout her life.

Donna was born in San Diego at Balboa Naval Hospital on June 23, 1954. She was raised in Montclair in “the hills of Oakland” and attended Skyline Highschool. She later attended both Chabot Junior College in Hayward and Sacramento State, studying Art History. After marrying Peter in 1981 and having three children to follow, she was a stay-at-home mom for many devoted years. Without question, her most treasured professional journey was her beloved years at Christian Brothers High School teaching AP Art History.

Donna’s greatest gift was her heart. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, seen, and loved. Her caring and compassionate nature touched countless lives, and she never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether family, friend, neighbor, or stranger, Donna was always there with open arms, a listening ear, and unwavering support.

She lived without judgment, choosing instead to meet people with kindness, understanding, and grace. She believed in the good of others and made everyone around her feel accepted just as they were. Her gentle spirit and generous soul created a safe place for so many, and the love she gave will continue to live on in every life she touched.

Above all, Donna loved her family. She found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, and especially a Nana. The moments spent together, whether celebrating milestones or simply sharing everyday life, became treasured memories that her family will carry forever.

Though our lives will never be the same without her, Donna leaves behind a legacy of compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. She taught us that the simplest acts of kindness can have the greatest impact, and her example will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her loving family, dear friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were brighter because she was in them. Her love remains our greatest blessing, and her memory will forever be held close in our hearts.

Donna is lovingly remembered by her husband Peter, and their children, Michael, Duncan, Katie and Connor, as well as her grandchildren, Michael, Dominic, Archer, Abigail, Piper and Zoey.

Services will be held at the Christian Brothers High School theater in Sacramento on August 15th at 10am with a reception to follow in the cafeteria.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a future donation to the scholarship fund we will create in Donna’s name to honor and continue her legacy at Christian Brothers.
