David Matthew Grajek

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Grajek in Sacramento, California. David passed away on October 9, 2025, after a courageous, yet short battle with cancer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 11, 1967, and grew up in the Bay Area. He came to Sacramento in the late 1980s to attend California State University, Sacramento. David enjoyed a career in the service industry, working as a bartender for 20-plus years, where he made many valued friendships. David loved to play golf – two of his favorite golf courses were Pebble Beach and the Inn of Spanish Bay. David was an avid Detroit sports fan – all teams – but truly loved the Lions.

David is survived by his wife of 25 years, Victoria Fisher Grajek; his siblings Tommy Grajek (Penny), Matthew Grajek (Pam), and Susan Grajek; his stepmother Janice Grajek; nephew Attila William Fisher-Varhegyi; sister-in-law Vanessa Fisher; and many cousins. Numerous friends will also remember him. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas I. Grajek and his beloved dog Ocean.

Rest in peace David. You were loved and will be missed.

A visitation, where family and friends can come by and pay their respect for David, will be held at W.F. Gormley and Sons Funeral Chapel, 2015 Capitol Avenue, Sacramento, California, on November 20, 2025 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
