Christopher James Ornelas

Christopher James Ornelas, age 47, of Citrus Heights, California, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his residence with his devoted wife and daughter by his side.

He was born on Friday, April 7, 1978, in Sacramento, California, a son of Enrique Ornelas and the late Debbie Ornelas. Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Jodi Ornelas, and his daughter, Brinley Ornelas; two brothers, Michael and Timothy Ornelas.

Through his journey of 47 years, Christopher touched so many lives with his wisdom, humor and an unwavering spirit of perseverance. Christopher displayed endless devotion to his wife and daughter, his faith, and community.

As the father to Brinley, he exuded endless dedication and was her number one fan both on and off the basketball court and football field. Christopher served as a junior varsity defense flag football coach for Casa Roble High School for the 2025 season.

Christopher displayed ongoing dedication to serving the community in which he resided. Christopher was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus, serving as the Grand Knight to the 3rd Degree Holy Family Knights of Columbus Infant Mary Council # 4964 and was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

Over the course of twenty years, Christopher was part of the Northern California Officials Association (NCOA) and served as an official for various sports including football, wrestling, and USA women's softball. He was also a member of the Table 9 Crew. In addition, for the past 25 years, Christopher dedicated his time to volunteer at the Pig Bowl charity football event.

On December 4, 2025, funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 7817 Old Auburn Road, Citrus Heights, CA 95610. Following the funeral services, a reception will be held in order to celebrate Christopher.
