Charlene had a personality that was truly “larger than life; a woman who had great faith in Jesus Christ and was raised in the Mennonite Faith. She was opinionated in all beliefs and willing to make friends wherever she may be.

Born Charlene Kroeker in Bakersfield, California, raised in Shafter, graduating from Shafter High school in 1953. “Char” had a great love of music, learning the piano at an early age and playing professionally in later years. Her talents brought her to a Christian music camp at Hume Lake in the summer of 1953 where she met Marvin Buller who was there with his quartet. They married in January of 1954 and within the next 6 years, had three sons; Micheal (deceased 2017), Marvin and Mark.

Divorced in 1975 and remarried to Donald Booth, a residential homebuilder, in 1978.

Char loved to travel the world after her divorce, so much that she opened her own travel agency in Orangevale “The Travel Works” with business partner Annette Johnson in 1979.

Later in life Char became a legislative assistant in the California State Capitol representing several Republican legislators - the position she was most proud of during her working career.

Char practiced her faith at Fremont Presbyterian Church in Sacramento since 1969. Over all of her years of life she never waivered in her faith in God.

Charlene’s final wish in life is that she be remembered with a smile.
