William Ray Yager

Yager, William R. Born 9/13/1934 in Kentucky; deceased 10/01/2015 in Sacramento. Predeceased by parents Ray and Alice Yager, and by his wife of 47 years, Harriett. A graduate of Washington and Lee University in Virginia. After being drafted, and while serving in the US Army, he met and married Harriett, a native of California. Following release from the Army, he became a career State of California employee, retiring in 1995 as a civilian staff manager with the Highway Patrol. A member of the Elks for over 30 years belonging to Sacramento Lodge #6. He will be deeply missed by longtime friend Annie Samuels of Mansfield, LA.
