Michael James Duffek Sr.
Michael J. Duffek, Sr. passed away peacefully on September 5, 2016 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsie Duffek, survived by his wife, Beverly, children, Michael Jr (Linda), Mark (Maralee), and Denise, grandchildren, Carrie, Kathryn, Andrew, Evan, Heather, Jason, and James and great-granddaughter, Olivia. He was a dedicated family man who loved to spend quality time with family especially with his grandchildren and great-grand-daughter. Michael was a Sacramento County Deputy Sheriff for over 30 years. A Rosary will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at W.F. Gormley & Sons, 2015 Capitol Ave, Sacramento CA. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, September 12, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepard Catholic Church, 9539 Racquet Ct., Elk Grove, CA. He will be laid to rest at St Mary's Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to The Bruce Verhoeven Foundation, P.O. Box 160923, Sacramento CA 95816-0923.
